This workshop is a practical introduction to the Pikler approach, which advocates a respectful relationship with babies and young children. At the heart of the approach are the exemplary care routines, based on partnership and reciprocity. Students will learn how to create a warm connection with babies during moments of care and how to invite them to participate – right from the start. In addition students will learn how this approach supports the development of babies’ competence and confidence.
